The PestCalm Ultrasonic Pest Repeller emits high-frequency sound waves above the range of human hearing. Rodents and many crawling insects perceive them as a constant disturbance, which makes the covered area an uncomfortable place to nest, feed or travel. Over time, they relocate.
Set it up in 30 seconds
- Pick the right outlet. Pests move along walls, so choose an outlet 8 to 30 inches above the floor with a clear line of sight into the room. Avoid outlets hidden behind sofas, curtains or appliances: ultrasound does not pass through solid objects.
- One unit per room. Walls and closed doors stop the sound, so a 2-pack typically covers the kitchen plus the garage, basement or attic, the usual entry points.
- Leave it plugged in. The indicator light shows it is working. It draws less power than a night light, so keep it running 24/7.
What to expect, week by week
- Days 1 to 7: pests may become more visible as they are disturbed and start moving. This is normal.
- Weeks 2 to 3: activity typically drops as pests relocate away from the covered area.
- Ongoing: keep it plugged in to discourage newcomers, especially in fall when rodents look for warm shelter.
Honest limits
PestCalm is a deterrent, not an extermination service. Results vary with home layout, pest type and the size of the problem. For an active infestation, use PestCalm alongside professional pest control, and seal entry points such as gaps around pipes and doors. Do not use in rooms where hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, rabbits or other small rodent pets live: they can hear the frequency. Dogs and cats are not affected.
